The men­strual cycle is much more import­ant and mean­ing­ful than we often think. This is because our emo­tions, needs and energy levels often occur in rhythmic pat­terns in rela­tion to the men­strual cycle. Because sur­prise: we don’t feel the same every day. And that’s okay. The men­strual cycle is a spe­cial part of us, but one that we must first learn to read cor­rectly. This prac­tice is called cycle aware­ness. After this online course, you’ll know how to use the cycle as your own per­sonal super­power – for your­self, for your well-being, or for your pro­ductiv­ity. 1. Your men­strual cycle and the inner seasons

In the begin­ning, it’s all about your men­strual cycle. We approach the cycle and its phases from dif­fer­ent per­spect­ives: From the bio­lo­gical pro­cesses in the body to the concept of the Inner Sea­sons. Here you will also get a first insight into cycle aware­ness and learn which feel­ings or needs are typ­ical in which cycle phase.

2. Under­stand your own men­strual cycle

You will learn to track your men­strual cycle in a mean­ing­ful and proper way and to keep your own per­sonal cycle journal. Here you will prob­ably exper­i­ence many won­der­ful “aha” moments and real­ize that your emo­tions, needs and energy levels are related to your men­strual cycle.

3. Your every­day life with cycle awareness

This is the heart of the course, where we con­nect your new cycle know­ledge with your cycle journal. The concept of cycle aware­ness becomes part of your every­day life. We trans­form your men­strual cycle into a super­power with which you become the hero of your own life. 

4. Self-care in the men­strual cycle

We will look at dif­fer­ent rituals and activ­it­ies that can do you good in the dif­fer­ent phases of your cycle and accom­pany you on your jour­ney to more cycle aware­ness. Because one thing is for sure: It is nicer to live in har­mony with your own body than to con­stantly fight against it.

What cycle aware­ness means to me

Self-care

Cycle aware­ness for me is the know­ledge as well as the appre­ci­ation for my indi­vidual men­strual cycle and the asso­ci­ated energy and mood pat­terns. My goal is to under­stand my own body bet­ter again. And also to learn what I need, when and espe­cially why.

Con­sciously observing and being aware of one’s men­strual cycle is a valu­able self-care prac­tice and a spe­cial form of self-love. For me, liv­ing cyc­lic­ally means accept­ing and valu­ing my body with its cycle-related hor­monal changes. And thereby finally liv­ing in har­mony with my men­strual cycle and thus myself.

The men­strual cycle doesn’t have to become your best friend, but you should know it well enough and also value it.

I am Britta.

Through my prac­tice of Free Bleed­ing, I finally came to cycle aware­ness via Nat­ural Fam­ily Plan­ning (symp­to­thermal method). It’s been a beau­ti­ful little adven­ture jour­ney that I’ve been on with my men­strual cycle ever since, get­ting to know myself bet­ter and bet­ter. Under­stand­ing the dif­fer­ent phases of the cycle is a spe­cial way to approach your own health, well-being, pro­ductiv­ity, cre­ativ­ity or even fer­til­ity – and that’s exactly what I want to share with you as well. I designed this online course as a tool­box and guide for you to learn more about the spe­cif­ics of the men­strual cycle and to feel com­fort­able in your own body. 

Your men­strual cycle is won­der­ful, magical and wise – you just need to listen to it and learn its language.

What does the concept of Inner Sea­sons mean?

The nat­ural men­strual cycle is divided into four phases, cor­res­pond­ing to the external sea­sons: Winter, Spring, Sum­mer and Autumn. Each sea­son, and there­fore each phase of the cycle, brings its own char­ac­ter­ist­ics. There are sea­sons of rest and sea­sons of activ­ity. Just as we know it from nature. By divid­ing the men­strual cycle into four phases or sea­sons, the changes in energy and mood become more comprehensible.

How long does cycle mon­it­or­ing take in every­day life? Isn't that super time-consuming?

It’s up to you whether you devote 15 seconds or 60 minutes a day to this prac­tice. And it’s also okay if you don’t devote the same amount of time to your cycle journal every day or take a longer break. For me, two or three minutes a day is usu­ally enough and I have noted down or briefly reflec­ted on everything import­ant from the day.

Is the online course also use­ful if I use hor­monal con­tra­cep­tion or do not have a reg­u­lar cycle?

If you use hor­monal con­tra­cep­tion (e.g. the pill, IUD or NuvaR­ing), your men­strual cycle is delib­er­ately changed. How­ever, you can still take the online course. Because the focus is on you con­sciously observing and get­ting to know your own body. 

Instead of the nat­ural men­strual cycle, you can, for example, also ori­ent your­self to the lunar cycle. This is because the chan­ging phases of the moon are sim­ilar in length to the men­strual cycle. Ori­ent­a­tion to the phases of the moon is also good if you do not cur­rently have a reg­u­lar, nat­ural men­strual cycle for other reasons.

Yes! You have access to all the con­tent right from the start and can do the videos, exer­cises, etc. at your own pace – and repeat them as often as you like.
